2019 Educational Program

CINÉMENTAL is proud to present the films chosen for its 2019 educational program, which will take place from October 28 to 31 at Towne Cinema 8 (301 Notre Dame Ave, Winnipeg).

Teachers’ Guideline
We have prepared a teaching books for each film. It will be forwarded to you as soon as possible before viewing so your students can enjoy it.


LA COURSE DES TUQUES

ANIMATION FILM for ages 8 to 13
Duration: 89 min.

This animated Quebec film presents another exhilarating adventure featuring François Les Lunettes. Following a usual sled race, François lost strangely to a new neighbour Zac. After doing his investigation, François proposes a second race. Who will win? With the same characters as the original movie LA GUERRE DES TUQUES (1984).

ASTÉRIX, LE SECRET DE LA POTION MAGIQUE

ACTION / ANIMATION FILM for ages 14 to 18
Duration: 85 min.

Asterix and Obelix decide to save their friend, Panoramix the Druid, who has been severly injured. Together, they go in search of a successor as a healing priest. Who will succeed him? The evil Sulfurix will try to hinder them as much as possible in there adventures. An animated film faithfully based on the previous ASTÉRIX books and films.

$5,00 per student

Seats are limited. Make sure to reserve the right number of seats. Cinémental reserves the right to demand payment for the number of reserved seats, regardless of the number of students present. We only accept cheques or cash (no credit cards, no money order).

CINÉMENTAL will reimburse student transportation costs.
Once the bus bill has been paid, you must send the receipt to: Cinémental at 340, av. Provencher before November 30, 2019.


The food counter will be closed for the school program. It is forbidden to bring food and drinks to the movie theaters. School staff accompanying students should remind them to bring everything with them when leaving to ensure that the following groups arrive in a clean room.

Doors will close as soon as the movie begins. We can not accept any delay. There will be little time between screenings. Towne Cinema 8 will have reduced staff during the screenings.
